Job Summary
The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s front office operations during the night shift while ensuring accurate financial reporting and exceptional guest service. In a luxury hotel, this role combines accounting precision with personalized guest care, maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, security, and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Night Audit & Financial Reconciliation
- Perform end-of-day (EOD) procedures and close all financial transactions.
- Reconcile daily revenue from all departments (rooms, F&B, spa, etc.).
- Verify accuracy of guest accounts, billing, and payments.
- Balance cash, credit cards, and ledger accounts.
- Prepare and distribute daily financial reports to management.
2. Front Desk Operations
- Manage late-night check-ins and early check-outs efficiently.
- Handle guest requests, complaints, and special needs with professionalism.
- Ensure smooth communication with housekeeping and security teams.
- Maintain accurate guest records in the Property Management System (PMS).
3. Guest Experience (Luxury Standards)
- Deliver personalized, discreet, and high-quality guest service.
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve issues promptly.
- Handle VIP arrivals/departures and special arrangements.
- Maintain a calm, professional, and welcoming atmosphere overnight.
4. Security & Safety Oversight
- Monitor hotel security systems and ensure guest safety.
- Conduct night patrols (if required) and report any irregularities.
- Ensure compliance with emergency procedures and policies.
- Act as the main point of contact during emergencies at night.
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare Night Audit reports including:
- Daily revenue summary
- Occupancy report
- No-show and cancellation report
- Log all incidents, guest feedback, and operational issues.
- Ensure proper handover to morning shift team.
6. Cash Handling & Controls
- Manage front office cash float and transactions.
- Ensure all postings are accurate and supported by documentation.
- Detect and report discrepancies or suspicious transactions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Accounting, or Finance.
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in Front Office or Night Audit, preferably in a luxury hotel.
- Experience with PMS systems (e.g., Opera, Protel, Fidelio).
Skills
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency in hotel systems and Microsoft Excel

The Financial Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring and controlling operational costs within the hotel to ensure efficiency and profitability. The role involves analyzing expenses, monitoring inventory, verifying purchases, and ensuring proper cost management in departments such as Food & Beverage, housekeeping, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cost Monitoring and Control
- Monitor daily operational costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure that expenses remain within approved budgets.
- Track and analyze variances between actual costs and budgeted costs.
2. Inventory and Stock Control
- Monitor inventory levels for food, beverages, housekeeping supplies, and maintenance materials.
- Conduct regular stock checks and audits.
- Investigate discrepancies in inventory records.
3. Purchasing and Procurement Control
- Review purchase orders and ensure compliance with procurement procedures.
- Verify supplier invoices and ensure accuracy before payment.
- Monitor supplier pricing and recommend cost-effective purchasing options.
4. Food and Beverage Cost Management
- Monitor food and beverage cost percentages.
- Review recipes, portion control, and wastage.
- Work closely with the Chef and F&B Manager to control food costs.
5. Financial Reporting
- Prepare cost reports and analysis for management.
- Track cost trends and highlight areas of concern.
- Provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
6. Compliance and Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Implement systems to prevent waste, fraud, and financial losses.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- 3–5 years experience in finance or cost control, preferably in hospitality.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Knowledge of inventory systems and accounting software.

Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing financial statements.

Qualifications

Job Purpose
The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing all financial and management accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS/IAS, strong internal controls, effective tax and treasury management, and leadership of the accounting team. This role supports management through timely financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Management Accounting
- Oversee all accounting activities in compliance with IFRS and IAS
- Ensure accuracy of cost centers, profit centers, allocations, and journal entries
- Manage month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Review general ledger, bank reconciliations, AP/AR ageing, provisions, and accruals
- Prepare and review management accounts, variance analysis, forecasts, and commentaries
- Ensure proper fixed asset accounting and inventory valuation
Financial Reporting & Audit
- Prepare statutory and IFRS-compliant financial statements
- Coordinate audits, respond to auditor queries, and manage audit files
- Ensure timely submission of financial reports and consolidation inputs
Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance
- Coordinate annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Monitor performance against budget and advise on corrective actions
- Support operating contribution and cost optimization initiatives
Tax, Treasury & Compliance
- Ensure full tax compliance (VAT, corporate tax, import taxes)
- Manage cash flow, daily cash positions, forecasts, and bank relationships
- Review FX transactions, interest, and bank charges
- Ensure effective internal controls and financial risk mitigation
Systems & Processes
- Act as JDE and payment/payroll system key user
- Support system upgrades, testing, and end-user issues
- Ensure data integrity and business continuity
- People Management & Leadership
- Lead, supervise, coach, and develop the accounting team
- Conduct performance appraisals and support talent development
- Deputize for the Finance Manager when required
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Master’s degree is an advantage)
- CPA or ACCA qualification required
- Minimum 7 years’ relevant accounting experience
- Strong IFRS knowledge and ERP experience (JDE preferred)
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills

- Ensure statutory deductions are made correctly.
- Calculate and process staff salaries, allowances, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory deductions (e.g., RSSB, PAYE, CBHI, Maternity etc.)
Inventory & Asset Management
- Monitor inventory costs and reconcile stock records with financial data.
- Track and manage company assets and depreciation schedules.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience in small business accounting (hospitality/catering preferred).
- Proficiency in basic accounting software or Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Key Competencies:
Organized and reliable.
Good communication skills for dealing with suppliers and clients.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
